Eve Martin, the member of the Gourvenec family of assassins and terrorists whom I interviewed daily over a period of nearly two months, told me that the Bhopal chemical plant explosion in 1984 was not an accident. It was sabotage by two of her uncles.
She was only 11 years old at the time, so she is not certain of all the details or what the motive might have been, but she recalls being taken along on the trip to India as part of a cover story used to gain entry to the plant. She says she was there at the time and describes in great detail the interior of the building and the control room in which the sabotage took place.
Despite this claim being contrary to the official story, this is an eyewitness speaking of her own observations and memories, not something she heard of from someone else, and her testimony is as credible as that of witnesses in homicide trials which frequently render a guilty verdict on the testimony of a single eyewitness. At the very least, it should be given careful consideration and the possibility, however remote it may seem, should be fully investigated.
